Plains of Systhwoden (Plains of Sis-th-wo-den)
Large fertile Plains on the West side of Orphansia.
Geography
Consisting of large fertile flat field and a large river that creates 2 lakes and makes for an excellent downstream travel path the Plains of Systhwoden are home to the Kindom of Amur. The Plains are mostly crop land and abundant with small farming villages. The River Kilbaen runs from the Thunderkeep Mountains through Lake Her to Lake Artycliphesia of Furthaignshire. To the South East is The Wastes of Forbidden Memory, the the North East is The Motherland, and the North is the Seiswaiegn Forest.
Ecosystem
Almost exclusively Farms and fields there is a fairly large rodent population across the Plain. The notable exceptions are in the Rivers and lakes where many fish and other water life makes its home.
Fauna & Flora
Very little of the land remains uncultivated, but where it is native grasses and fruit bearing bushes and shrubs live. Feralized deer are a nuisance to most of the North East region, in part due to the damage to crops they cause and in part due to attracting predators down from the Mountains and out of the Forest.
Natural Resources
Food crops are their largest resource, though they have decent access to fresh water wildlife(fish, waterfowl, crustacians) as well as sea life.
History
Founded by the Amur when the Giants were exiled, and allowed to rule this part of the land as underking to the Dragon Council the Kingdom of Amur takes up the entirety of the Plains of Systhwoden and they Claim all of the River Kilbaen. The region was know as the Plains of Systhwoden by the Giants and has been attempted to be rebranded by the Kingdom on multiple occasions in an attempt to solidify their claim to the land. Outwardly knowing only peace since it's founding the Kingdom has been a great mixing soup, Home to nearly as many Humans as Dwarfs, or Elves. Dragonborn, Gnomes, Firbolg, and Halflings are common if not quite as numerous. Most other Races have representation if not necessarily a heavy presence.
Tourism
Villiages with scenic farm views and large Lakes have some appeal to the richer Dragonborn but otherwise not much tourism, excepting as pass through for most to one of the Elemental Isles, or the Western Isles.
