Seiswaiegn Forest

The major Forest on the western side of Orphansia. Home of the Elven Nation, Tevant'ial, the Seiswaigegn Forest is the land allowed to them by first the Giants, and later the Dragon Council, and most recently by treaty with the Kingdom of Amur. A large Temperate forest cultivated by the Elves as a source of goods as well as shelter, the Seiswaiegn Forest has many connections with the Feywilds and is for that reason considered dangerous to wander, even for some of its inhabitants.

Geography

A gentle sway of the land along with tall and ancient trees makes the forest seem to be curious and inviting. Small creeks, ponds and basic waterways dot the land and one is never very far from a source of water if they know where to look. A few small cliffs make room for small caves, while other areas simply have sinkholes that have created their own caves.

Ecosystem

Heavily arboreal animals such as squirrels, birds, chipmunks, deer, wolves, bear, foxes, racoon, skunks, etc.

Ecosystem Cycles

Following the seasons the wildlife availability is quite varied. Birds migrate and many mammals hibernate.

Localized Phenomena

portals to and from the Feywild open all the time. Natural in their occurance they rarely open with any predictability.

Natural Resources

Wood is the primary resource. The elves coax it to grow and take shape, they gather it and the convince the trees to give.

History

The Elves were the ones to cultivate these woods. Making a deal with the Giants the Elves planted trees and brushes and took over the space from the Plains of Systhwoden to what is now the edge of the Jungles of Grymkash.

Tourism

People do travel to the woods for tours and to see some of the stunning architecture of the Elves.
