Etenesh Character in Emynea | World Anvil

Etenesh

Species: Giant Cheetah
Racial Magic: Fliris' Agility and Slip
Partner: Makeda Samrawit

Etenesh is the mount of Makeda. Etenesh was raised alongside Makeda like a sister and they are extremely affectionate towards one another. Etenesh is protective of Makeda and enjoys hunting together. Etenesh also prefers to sleep with Makeda nearby but can become territorial of these sleeping quarters. For this reason, Makeda has her own private quarters. While Etenesh will often walk around with Makeda, she is also free to come and go from the compound. Makeda tries to make time to go hunting together regardless of where they travel as Etenesh feels more secure hunting together.

Etenesh's magic allows her to utilize her magic to increase her own speed and agility. Once this effect begins, she can continue to accumulate speed and velocity, increasing steadily. It can be difficult to turn or stop in this state. However, she can also pass through solid matter unimpeded by either passing through the material or allowing it to pass through her. She cannot interact with anything while using this. She tends to depend on Makeda to attack but is still capable of using her claws and bite when necessary. She isn't quite as muscular as some other large cats.

by Lee Stepp

Etenesh's magic form changes her spots to robin egg blue pigmentation as well as the fur around her paws and legs.

Fliris' Agility increases her speed and agility by feeding off her energy. Fliris' Slip allows Etenesh to move accumulatively faster and she cannot be impeded by physical matter by either slipping through material or allowing her to slip through material. However, she cannot interact with anything in this state and it can be difficult to stop or turn. Makeda has trained her to extend her magic into any rider.
