Roland Minear
Councillor Supreme Roland Minear (a.k.a. the Aged)
Roland Minear was born to a family of businessfolk who managed a woodworking company supplying goods and materials to the shipyards of Capcora. He had a knack for the family business, but he chose instead to mingle with the workers and learn their business. While his parents disapproved of this behavior, he did gain substantial popularity among his employees. He advocated higher wages and supported his workers whenever they suffered tragedy or were injured in the workplace, gaining himself employees for life. His popularity was ultimately translated into a successful run for the Trader's Meet representative on the Ruby Council in 1020, unseating the former representative. He served ably until tragedy stuck.
Roland Minear was one of the great victims of the Warp of Seven. Prior to the Warp, he was a dedicated member of the Ruby Council, serving as a representative for Trader's Meet, a solidly middle class portion of the city of Capcora. He was known as a fairly conservative voice on the Council, advocating a middle path at all times, but doing right by his own people for infrastructure and services inside the district. The Warp changed everything. Many of the Councillors were changed or altered by the manipulations of the warp, but Minear came out mostly intact, just forty years older. As a man who symbolized what the city had lost from the mysterious tragedy, he was selected as the interim Councillor Supreme until the next elections in 1040. He has been struggling with new health issues ever since the Warp, and many doubt he will make it to election day.
