Celestial Grotto
Look & Feel
- The cave seems to glow from within but is influenced by an unnatural crack in the ceiling that always reflects a clear sky (celestials can be seen in the correct time of day)
- A warm, comforting breeze can be found during all times of the year and all weather
- There is a feeling of calm and wonder upon seeing the glow of the crystals
- There are deep azure pools leading around the cave separated by rocky paths
- Crystals protrude mostly from the ceiling but also from the walls and in the pools of water
Origin
- Believed to be formed by stars, plucked and sent to the mortal plane, by the Goddess of Arcana as a gift to the Divine of Terra
- A young wood elf was chasing a star through The Sapphire Canopy when it disappeared into the ground. When he laid down to peer into the hole the star disappeared into, he saw the grotto. An unseasonably warm breeze surrounded the young elf and then shifted, leading the boy to the grotto.
Special Properties
- In the center of the grotto is a collection of excessively large (30-40ft tall above water) crystals that have erupted out of the largest, deepest pool
What Can & Can't Survive Here
- The forest around the grotto is lush and teeming with life
- Nothing resides in the grotto though small animals can be seen drinking from the pools before darting back out of the grotto
- Small, luminescent bugs can be found flying and crawling around
