Session 1, Humble Beginnings

General Summary

The town of Kelvor's Thicket is in full preparation for the festival of The Coalescence when we find the protagonists of our story. Shangri, the half-elf performer entertaining the denizen's of the Strutting Elk. Balran, the elvish mage from the Reliquary having traveled here to investigate strange magical phenomena, only to have found another thing of interest; the figure Loro, an imposing stonekin, clad in dark chainmail armor, who only speaks in one sylable. Finally, Gorthak, a silver scaled Drekborn with a distictive red cape that hides his facial features.

In going through tepid introductions, and gathering information at the Strutting Elk a blood curdling scream was heard coming from one of the out lying farms. The four of them went to investigate, finding a crowd around a wounded adolescenet woman that led them to a large wolf with a dead sheep in its jaws. After quickly dispatching it, the adventurers ventured deeper in the forest, finding a strange pool, and later a den that was home to one of the Rune Wolves, chosen of Arrast. In choosing not to fight with the wolves, the creature led them to the den of some foul creatures that are tainting the forest. We pick up now at the edge of a cave that smells of rot and death.
