Tuberculosis is an extended respiratory infection that wreaks havoc on the lungs, causing intense coughing fits that can eventually lead to death.
Resisting the Disease. A creature
afflicted with tuberculosis makes a
Constitution Saving Throw against their affliction level at the end of every 7 days after contracting the disease.
- Major Success: The creature's affliction level decreases by 1.
- Success: The creature's affliction level remains the same.
- Failure: The creature's affliction level increases by 1.
- Major Failure: The creature's affliction level increases by 2.
Transmission. After onset, an
afflicted creature is contagious. Whenever the creaturue coughs, any humanoids within 10 feet of the creature must make a DC 10
Constitution Saving Throw or be
Afflicted 5 with tuberculosis.

Stage 1 (11-20) |
- As above, but the cough is more pronounced and the creature's Suffocation Limit is halved as they have trouble breathing.
- The creature has disadvantage on Constitution Checks and Saving Throws.
- Whenever the creature attempts to speak loudly or cast a spell with verbal components, the creature must make a DC 10 Constitution Saving Throw or spend their action suffering a fit of coughing. If this coughing occurs when casting a spell, the spell is wasted.

Stage 2 (21-30) |
- All effects of prior stage, but the DC to resist a fit of coughing is 15.
- Any time the creature suffers a fit of coughing, they cough up blood and take 1d6 necrotic damage.
