Heroic Spirit and Time Chamber

The Heroic Spirit and Time Chamber is where Kord keeps the freely shared memories of powerful creatures and deceased spirits that pass through his domain. Kord sometimes allows creatures to seek redemption and glory through battle within the Chamber, but only after they have had their heroic spirit judged and their memories chronicled by it.   Heroic Spirit Chronicle. When a creature has its heroic spirit chronicled, it is elevated on a circular marble platform and bathed in radiant energy that extracts any memories of battle from it and its ancestors, tracing back up to three generations past.   This process is taxing on the body. The creature must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw, gaining two levels of exhaustion on a failed save.   Once a creature has had its heroic spirit chronicled, Kord determines whether they’re worthy of a chance to use the Chamber to seek redemption, and glory through battle within its walls.   Fight for Glory. A creature or group of creatures may enter the Chamber to do battle, at which point the blank space within the Chamber adopts the geography of a great battle previously chronicled by the Chamber. It then summons perfect copies of the one side of the battle, with the entering creatures taking the place of the other side’s combatants.   The creatures entering the Chamber will most often encounter a battle that related to their ancestors or another friendly creature with whom they are familiar.   Once the battle begins, participating creatures cannot leave the Chamber battlefield until the opponents are defeated. A creature that dies within the Chamber is teleported back to the Domain of Ysgard and regains 1 hitpoint.   If all participants are killed in the Chamber’s battle, they suffer a defeat. A creature that suffers three defeats has it’s spirit consumed by the Chamber and is utterly destroyed. The creature cannot be resurrected by any means short of a Wish spell.   If the participants successfully defeat their opponents in the Chamber’s battle, they are granted a victory. They immediately gain Experience from the battle and are teleported back to the Domain of Ysgard where they are allowed 8 hours to recover after which they must either leave the demiplane or attempt another bout in the Chamber.   If the participants successfully win two difficult battles, one of the participants is granted the Divine Boon of Kord.

Geography

This demiplane first appears as a blank white space. Once a heroic spirit’s memories are manifested, the geography changes to match that of the heroic clash in question.
