Isle Stylla

Isle Stylla is the large island that lies off the coast of the Orvulian Empire within the Selendaarian Bay. A picturesque island with high white cliffs and rolling forests and hills with a large central mountain. The Island of Stylla is one of the most beautiful places within the Orvulian Empire. It sits as the main seat of power of the empire with the majority of the central government is on the island. It is the smallest of the dominances and is one of the few who is not a major exporter to other parts of the empire. The population is mostly of wealthy guild members and old noble houses that have existed within the empire for several centuries. To even enter the island most individuals must submit for a pass that allows them access for a limited amount of time. Given this selective nature of those who can even entire the island, this gives the emperor significant freedom, a freedom that he takes advantage of by taking significant interest with the people of the island.

Geography

Most of the island is surrounded by high cliff sides made out of white chalk-like stone, these cliffs make a landing on the island extremely difficult except for the single cove the island has. In this inlet, the land of the island slopes down in steps that create a unique structure for the port there. The island itself is covered in a mixture of forests and rolling open plains. The forests are mostly deciduous compared to the pine forests of northern Jjyorkvald and most of the wooded area is spotted with small ponds and clearings. The center of the island is dominated by the tall peaks of Mt. Valerus. This tall snow-capped peak is the center point of the island and rises high above the surrounding forests.
