Watcher

The Watcher, or more formally 'Watcher of the House' is the elected leader of the House of Aelnar. Elected each year by the members of the community the watcher provides leadership, guidance and counselling to community members and in times of split decisions has the casting vote. Over the last 30 years the role of Watcher has rarely been held longer than three years in a row though in earlier times it was not uncommon for the Watcher to be in post for 10 years or more.
In 2874 the current Watcher of the House is Raila Salmi
