Ylistrium

The blue ore that would change the world - in the right hands. Currently confined to the Elliaster basin, it will undoubtedly reach other parts of the world as the word gets out and black market traders seek out their fortune. Originally found in a bauxite mine in the territory of the Medza Molise, but quickly sequestered after knowledge reached the Orthopraxy.
The ore itself can be broken down into more manageable pieces but it becomes more volatile and unpredictable this way. Thus, Ylistrium is commonly used in its native state, though whoever can find a way to control its properties and wield smaller bits of the stuff will undoubtedly end up rich... or dead in a ditch.

Material Characteristics

Blue crystalline ore. Found in large chunks underground.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Can amplify magic tenfold, as well as storing and radiating magic steadily. Both of these properties require input by a magic user - the more skilled, the more the ore will do what the caster wants it to. Otherwise, the results are volatile.

Geology & Geography

Not much is known on where exactly it is found, but so far there are two publicly known locations, with another secret location. The bauxite mine in Molise, the Hallafax mines, and in the southern reaches of the marshes where the mountains meet the misty sea.
