The docks of Solorum have been a trade center for Atria since its docks were first built and opened to the seas. The Dwarves of Durradin have been glad to have an over seas trade route over going through the thick forests of Bumundum since it was built and it makes an excellent jumping point to the Kai-Tengian Empire.

Demographics

A large melting pot of the nearby kingdoms, as Saguntum is right next to Bumundum and is the last big port between The Stormridge Coast and the harsh open Scarlet Seaway. Dwarves, Elves, Half-lings, Gnomes, Satyrs and Humans make regular trips to and from Saguntum.

Government

The goverment of Saguntum is mostly ran by its council members who report upwards to the Triumvirate.

Defences

With large stone walls, ballista and a thriving military, Saguntum is second only to Tregora as a military hub in Atria.

Industry & Trade

Having trade routes between the Kai-Tengian Empire, Durradin and The Principality and the Kingdom of Othrae in Nardethel, the goods flowing in and out of this city are plentiful. While many of the citys industry focus' on ship building and repair, many specalist shops have opened here, selling items from far flung regions of the world.

Infrastructure

This city has bathhouses and several well known brothels, inns and pubs that get excellent business from the visitors.
This is also the Atrian center for ship building. Several new ships are currently in the drydocks.

Assets

The assets of Saguntum are its large standing town guard forces along with its standing navey of Galleys. The Stormridge Bay provides protection from sea pirates along with a natural defense from overseas invasion as the bay is a much shallower than one who is unfamiliar with the region would expect.

Guilds and Factions

The city of Saguntum has large influences from the merchants, sailors and fishers guilds.
Many of these guilds fight for recruits and business with each other as they often find that they cannot go a week without some squabble.

History

Saguntum was formed by a group of Soliders who found themselves on the edge of the Bunumdum forest. With many of them deciding that they had found a natural stopping point they begun setting up the city. It quickly became a center of travel between Durradin, Bunumdum and the Kai-Tengian Empire.
The first dock and ship were build in parallel. When the city had its first dock finished and its first ship set to sea, the Triumvirate had finally found a means of traveling to neighbouring kingdoms and empires without having to deal with the Khanate or the long and often dangerous overland trade routes.

Geography

Saguntum is located on the coast of Atria, where the Stormridge bay starts. It has a large forest to its east and to the west is a large open plain of grasslands

Natural Resources

Having a large farm industry, a self maintaining forest to its south and a plethora of fishing and hunting locations the booming industries of Saguntum have continued to thrive.
