The General Council

The General Council is composed of eight members       In most cases, members of the general council are also head of an unaffiliated council specific to their settlements, usually 3-5 people.

Funding

The majority of Renn's funding comes from taxes on goods travelling in and out of the city. Most of the taxes go into road and wall upkeep, and Renn Law dictates that the exact balance of areas taxes are invested into must be made available to the taxpayer on request.

History

Renn Council was formed in 1489 by the King of Erdantia, after Renn was made a state-owned holding rather than a privately owned one. This was done due to concerns as to the competency of the current Lord of Renn after a sanitation crisis in both the City of Renn and Sinco. The formation of Renn Council was a joint project between the King and Lord Auden Davis, who would go on to lead the council.
