Haitlik (Hight-lihk)

The Haitlik (in-world name TBD) is a mysterious and wondrous creature that possesses human-like sentience. It is an off-shoot of dragon-kind and falls squarely in the sea serpent classification, yet possesses front limbs that end in webbed hands with phalanges tipped with claws. It is quite long, and it has a long horn that sticks out at a 45-degree angle from the end of its snout that is razor-sharp. This horn is its primary weapon, which it uses to ram and quickly dispatch prey and foes.
Elven dracologists theorize that the Haitlik were once the servants of or in a tight relationship with a powerful race that once ruled the skies, but they have never been able to pinpoint who or what they were and fear that they will never be able to answer this mystery.

"Haitlik need to regularily consume stones ranging from the size of a thumb to specimens the size of chests or small boats in order to help digest whatever their diet consists of. The only conclusive specimen of this mighty and noble race that elven scientists have managed to get their hands on was a dead juvenile that washed ashore 50 years before the present day. In its stomach, they found evidence of stones that had been swallowed, but they could hardly make heads or tails of what exactly it had eaten, as whatever it was had been heavily digested before it died All they could truly determine was that it was a mix of meat and some sort of plant matter.
