Floral Mesmer

The Floral Mesmer is one of the most dangerous creatures you could ever stumble across in your adventures.
It may appear to be nothing more than a massive flowering plant, it is in truth an animal. Massive petal-shaped frills encircle its head, and it senses prey through its body heat, as it doesn't have eyes or any way to smell. The frills are iridescent and take on different colours depending on which way light hits them. The Mesmer can manipulate how the colours shift and dance, and uses them to hypnotize potential prey. The effect is strong enough to hypnotize even humans, dwarves, and other peoples. Elves have developed an immunity to its hypnotizing abilities due to dwelling in the same habitats for several thousand years.
One good indication that a Floral Mesmer is there or had been there are the armour pieces and weapons that can be found piled up on the ground.
