The Wrath of the Sea

History

The title was earned through significant acts of pirating and pillaging by a young orc brave enough to defy the edicts of La'Lorna. Gen'kar Furywind took a crew of other races ignorant to his own culture's laws. He made his own luck, utilizing the magic of the old dwarf Kotori Ironhand to wreathe his ship in mist and strike from the fog. He avoided crews of orcs and targeted vessels run by other races. Once the ship was boarded, he utilized Sveldvar's iron collars and Fae pacts to bind any crew who voluntered to switch sides to him until they could be trusted. Those who did not join the crew were slain with their throats slit, then their guts spilled into the sea before tossing the corpse overboard. He would capture whole ships, deliver the cargo as promised to collect the money, then steal the cargo and then some back from the warehouses later in the night. The ships would vanish before morning, sometimes with the bloody corpses of those unfortunate enough to have witnessed the heists floating at the docks. Efficiency and ruthlessness, using the very sea against his targets coined the title the Wrath of the Sea.
 For thirty years, he plagued the trade consortiums until his flagship, the Ivory Sands was sunk beneath the waves and him with it. The title now goes unused, a legend whispered in the lapping of waves. And yet, for his old crew, the loyal friends and family he built, the title is well alive, garnering respect to the old man turned to walk the straight and narrow, now captaining the Steel Ships of the Tiger's Eye Trading Company.
