The Reflection

Manifestation

The Reflection appears the same as the physical world, however, it is devoid of most life. Plants and static items appear in the reflection, but animals and people do not while they are awake. Sleeping creatures are capable of entering the Reflection. Elves and Fae folk are adept at shifting to the reflection and can do so at will. They utilize the reflection to their advantage, shaping it and controlling it as if it were their own dream. Humans, with practice, can enter this world, often by training themselves to manifest some strange event to manifest when they are dreaming to signal that they are dreaming. 
Within the reflection, experiences are very lifelike. Smells are sharper, pain hurts, and sensations are apparent. However, wounds taken within the reflection do not appear in real life. Dying in the reflection does not amount to dying in real life, much to the horror of many who have experienced a brutal death in nightmares within the reflection.

Localization

The reflection is not a singular place, but like reflections through dew drops on a spider's web. Each dew drop is it's own plain of existence, each reflecting the same thing, occasionally sliding to merge together or split into more dew on the web. Reflections can merge or break apart. Dream spaces can briefly be shared or completely shared. Elves and Fae are adept at joining the same reflection in order to meet with each other or spy upon other reflections. However, if a person does not enter the reflection in their sleep, their dreams cannot be spied upon. If the person who is spying is dreamt of, they are forced into the role and influenced by the dreamer until they can break away or wake the dreamer.
