Beast Drawn Cart

From high tech human settlements to nomadic tribes, carts drawn by beasts of burden are a common vehicle seen to transport people and goods across great expanses. Commonly they are constructed of wood or bone and leather. Some utilize a canvas covering to protect goods and people within from unagreeable weather. Length, width, number of wheels or rails, and style vary across cultures.
The carts of Agaland, for example, are simplistic in design, a five by ten foot square platform with two to four foot tall walls, mounted upon four wheels with hook ups for two beasts of burden. The carts utilized by desert dwellers, on the other hand, may be longer, narrower, mounted upon ski's, and covered on all sides by a canvas. Nomads may have caravans of larger carts, pulled by a team of beasts, using bone and fur to create mobile homes or wagons to carry their homes and supplies. Arguably, Palanquins of the far east may fit the description of a cart, though it has no wheels, essentially being a chair mounted atop a wooden platform designed to carry a singular person of nobility.
The creatures that power these vehicles varies depending upon region and culture as well. In the far east in the mountains, large hairy Yaks are often seen pulling transport carts, while horses pull along wagons, and humanoids carry palanquins. Other common creatures are Donkeys, Elephants, Camels, Feral Kobolds, Oxen, Dragons, Gryphons, Hippogriffs, and large cats.
