The time the Imperium split in two and marked the begining of a new era, and thus the end of the Eldorien golden age.

After the Imperator converted to the ever spreading Veruma faith the growing tension became war at long last. The Imperator's own family remained loyal, most of them having converted to his faith along with him.   The Old capital, Eldoria however, rose up alongside many states of the ancient Eldorien heartland before Galerionopoli was named the seat of the Imperator. Had it only been the Rebellion there would have been good chances for the Imperium to prevail and come back from this civil war intact. However, there were many locals that chose this time as a perfect opportunity to break free from the Imperium for good.   Many small scale rebellions rose up all over the Imperium, unrelated to the religion issue. In fact, many of them were Veruma. Two large scale uprising came to be with a leader at the center. One was in the lands of Goedwig and Orest, which had even gained support from Albia. The other in Avilion where the locals rallied behind a rumored decendant of the ancient kingdom of Arvilina before the Eldoriens conquered it.   Swiftly did the uprisings show their effect. Eagle banners were burned and Eldorien officials killed in city streets. Statues were torn down as people cheered. Petty kingdoms, duchies and city states remained behind in the lands of Redoria while the rebels in Goedwig and Avilion swiftly formed their own, cohesive realms.   Jupiters Faithful and The Imperatir's loyalists clashed only once in the whole civil war. That was near the end, when much of the Imperium had already fallen, Galerionopoli included. It was the Imperator's cousin, Aurelien Julianus and his brother Cratus Julianus that would retake the Imperium's heartland from the rebellious followers of Jupiter.   Aurelien took Eldoria while his brother Cratus led a mighty legion against the invading orc army from the steppe lands. Both were victorious and became legends in their own right, as it is thanks to the brothers that the Imperium was kept alive, even if on its last leg. Aurelien would be crowned Imperator in the year 3 atf, after hunting down rebels all throughout Eldoria. While Cratus actually believed in Jupiter, choosing to fight with his brother out of loyalty, Aurelien believed in Veruma. This ended the Great civil war and the age of Jupiter and his pantheon both.
