The Raven Queen

A Goddess of Death confined to the plane of Shadowfell. Long ago, she tried to join the pantheon in Mount Celestia but was betrayed by her closest allies and forsaken to the lower plane of Shadowfell where she still remains.
The Raven Queen was an Eladrin from the Feywild who cherished her people. When the ritual that was supposed to raise her into the heavens of Mount Celestia, both her and all her people were sundered to the blasted landscape of Shadowfell where they were slowly twisted to more closely reflect the land around them.
Since then, the Raven Queen has been feeding her power through mortals into the Moral Realm to try and pass on the knowledge she has gained from all her past mistakes. These ideologies combined with the 'respect the dead' the Raven Queen has adopted have created many mortals that follow and worship her.
It is believed that the Raven Queen resides inside a large castle in Shadowfell called the Fortress of Memories.
