House Glorychaser is eternally grateful to House Sarovich and more specifically Strahd Von Sarovich. Strahd uses Joseph and his children as powerful tools, which they are aware of, but do not mind. For centuries the Glorychasers have been the ones people looked to make the hard decisions. Now, the live with the darkness in the bottoms of their hearts happily and do whatever they are told.

Strahd von Sarovich secretly founded the Church of the Dawn while establishing the human towns of Xeador in an attempt to keep the humans under control, like livestock. The Church teaches its followers to hide during the night and wait until the sun rises so that creatures like Vampires and Werewolves are forced to leave. They are taught to not fight at night and it makes it easier for the Vampires to take their pick of cowering livestock.
