House Glorychaser
A new Vampire House that was once the most powerful lineage of heroes known to man. They were heroes during the Era of Conflict, formulated the Great Unite, and defended the world on many occasion. After their dark secret was revealed, Joseph Glorychaser fell in with Strahd Von Sarovich in an attempt to get back his kidnapped wife who was actually a succubus in disguise. In order to gain power mixed with some charm from Strahd, Joseph became a trusted ally of Strahd and was turned into a Vampire, his family established as a new House.
The House has set up in Pyrefort, and is close to House Sarovich both diplomatically and geographically.
Joseph Glorychaser has been the head of the family for several decades, and fathered a couple children that unfortunately lacked his insane Sorcerous power that the family is known for. These children disapeared and their whereabouts are not known. Frustrated, Joseph took his anger out on his wife that was supposed to guarantee the power being passed on, since that is how it has been done for eons. His wife Sinthia Glorychaser, is a succubus from The Nine Hells that was born with an innate power she herself cannot access but her offspring can. The first Glorychaser took advantage of this and fathered a child with her that became a hero. To continue this, the child was forced to marry the same succubus, his mother, when he grew up, so that he could in turn father a child with the same insane power. This continued for centuries, and Sinthia slowly fell into madness, a mixture of Stockholme Syndrome and a twisted love for her children/lovers.
During Joseph's time, it seemed like Sinthia's powers were failing and he could not pass on his power. But he continued trying nonetheless. Then, the The Sirelings abducted Sinthia for her own good and smuggled her away from Kinallen and the Glorychaser family. The leader of the Sirelings, Sire Dire, found out about Sinthia's plight and swore to rescue her, even if her twisted mind made her think that she shouldn't be rescued. They did so and managed to evade Joseph, fleeing back to Xeador with Sinthia.
Emasculated, Joseph followed but found himself unable to find Sinthia. Strahd Von Sarovich saw an opportunity to make a loyal friend from a legendary hero and charmed Joseph, making him a trusted ally and eventually bestowing him with Vampiric power. Strahd promised Joseph that he could pass on his sorcerous power through other means, and becoming a Vampire under his rule would give him the time to accomplish that. Joseph became a Vampire and began producing more heirs, most being sent out to The Deadwatch to test their power.
Now, as Joseph focuses on raising a hero, he is eternally grateful to Strahd, and eternally hateful to the rebels known as the Sirelings. Joseph has fathered a couple children that still live after becoming a Vampire.
Glorychasers:
- Lyra Glorychaser - Eldest of the two living children filled with Glorychaser power. She is a loyal commander of The Deadwatch.
- Herrik Glorychaser - Youngest of the two living children filled with Glorychaser power. He is still a child, growing up in the vast Glorychaser manse in Pyrefort. He has even more power than his older sister, and no discipline, a sign that what Joseph is doing to pass on his power seems to be working.
- Roland Glorychaser - Disregarded for his lack of power, beaten and abused as a child and long thought dead. He has found power elsewhere and holds a seething vengeance for Joseph and Sinthia, who tortured and berated him as a child for simply being born 'wrong'.

The Glorychaser family, although new as a Vampiric House, has a long history of heroics. When they joined with Xeador and the Deadwatch was established, they became fast friends. The Deadwatch needs strong soldiers, and Joseph Glorychaser was producing several new children in an attempt to pass on his overwhelming sorcerous power, but he had to trial several different methods because of the new vampiric methods he was attempted to pass on his power. Glorychaser children were sent out to the frontlines at a young age to test their power, and most of the time they were powerful soldiers. All but one within the Deadwatch is dead now, but they fought and slew many Undead before they fell. Because of this, they are on great terms and work together closely.
Allies
House Glorychaser is eternally grateful to House Sarovich and more specifically Strahd Von Sarovich. Strahd uses Joseph and his children as powerful tools, which they are aware of, but do not mind. For centuries the Glorychasers have been the ones people looked to make the hard decisions. Now, the live with the darkness in the bottoms of their hearts happily and do whatever they are told.
Friendly
House Lupescu is a minor house in Pyrefort that has become friendly with the Glorychasers. They established themselves as friends when the Glorychaser house was first set up and the other houses didn't trust the Glorychasers. Since then, the Glorychasers have helped the Lupescu House establish themselves as more than a small family and are now a known Vampire House. House Guile has a long rivalry with Lupescu, and view them as lesser due to their connection to the lycanthropean magic that Vampire's so hate. The Glorychaser's hold no such quarrels, and accepted the Houses friendship.
Non-aggression pact
300 years ago, a Glorychaser led a raid on the newly established Vampire House Lucien. The Glorychaser slaughtered almost the entire house, including the infants and servants. One Lucien survived and has slowly built up the House again, but the hatred remains. To the Glorychaser's, that was just one more heroic deed in their family lineage, but the Lucien's do not forget. All the noble houses know of this hatred and want for revenge, but the Lucien's have agreed to a non-aggression pact to avoid in-fighting. That is not to say they don't have plans to bring ruin to the Glorychaser's behind the scenes...
Hatred
House Guile outwardly despises the Glorychasers. They hate that they curried Strahd's favour so quickly and became a major house within a short amount of time. They hate that they come from outside the kingdom, and they hate their innate power they don't have to work for. In return, the Glorychaser's see this hostility and view it with contempt. They believe the Vampires of House Guile are beneath them and not worth the attention. This rivalry is the centre of many political plots, assassinations, elections and deals.
War
Ever since the Sirelings took Sinthia Glorychaser, these two groups have been at war. Most of this fight contains the Sirelings hiding and biding their time, striking when least expected and running before a real battle erupts. Joseph has thundered across the lands searching for the Sirelings, and has sworn that if he ever finds Sire Dire, he will torture him until he wishes for death. Then he will rescue his dear mother/wife.
