Dragonbone Spire

A  towering mountain peak, shrouded in clouds and perpetually covered in snow, serves as the final resting place for the spirits of the departed. According to local legend, the winds that howl through the mountains are actually the cries of the lost souls, eternally searching for a way back to the world of the living.  A barren, snow-covered summit is adorned with jagged rocks and small cairns left by those who have lost loved ones.  A series of wind-sculpted arches and spires, resembling frozen waterfalls, tower above the mountain's slopes.

Geography

A natural amphitheater, where the winds howl loudest, create a haunting chorus that can be heard for miles around.

Localized Phenomena

A network of spirit trails, created by the movement of ethereal energy left behind by the departed, lead to various sacred sites within the mountain.

History

An ancient observatory, built by an advanced civilization long since vanished, was once used to study the movements of the stars and the spirits of the afterlife.  A series of carved stone structures, resembling tombs or shrines, mark the final resting places of notable figures from the past.
