The city of cats
Government
The city is lead by a Jagirdar, (by non-locals often referred to as the Jaguar), an appointed official that serves until death. In the days before the subjugation by the Kriatians this position was appointed by the high priest of Feleo, but now this position is appointed by the Karatian king.
Defences
The city is renown for its thick dark grey walls with carvings of panthers, jaguars and other feline jungle dwellers all along the walls said to guard the city.
Industry & Trade
The city exports a large array of exotic creatures and fruits originating from the nearby jungle, (no feline creatures though). Also, a large trade in hardwood and hardwood products thrives in the city.
Architecture
Most of the buildings in the city are of dark grey stones and one or two stories high. From the rooftops hang wooden walkways for the large amount cats roaming free about the city.
Geography
Located between the jungle encompassing the southern coast of Karat and the rolling grass hills on its eastern coast, the city surrounds the deep mouth of the Tamarus river.
Natural Resources
The city is known for its hardwood harvested from the nearby jungle and the exotic fruits and animals that is exports.
