Clerical Infirmary
Healing clerics do what they can.
However, death magic is not curable.
Even the best alchemists cannot help.
Some leave the clerics, some stay.
There needs to be a cure.
Beight, Goddess of Beauty and Light
Beight founded the Clerical Infirmary while traveling around Astnyr to build new settlements. They helped build Craftport and Lovers Retreat before deciding to remain in the former. Beight built the Clerical Infirmary while traveling around Astnyr to establish new settlements. The Healing Clerics collaborated with the Light Paladins stationed in their region to construct an infirmary.
Once they settled in Craftport, the Healing Clerics of the infirmary willingly provided their free healing services to the Paladins and the trading villagers after Seaport was built. The Clerical Infirmary partnered with these traders and gave them services for discounts on shop merchandise.
Some Clerics moved to Seaport for more opportunities and more patients. Craftport remained to be where the Head Cleric lived. However, Scholars discovered ways that these two infirmaries could communicate with each other. Even for transferring patients to better services, depending on how one infirmary operates. With these possibilities, clerics moved through Craftport, Seaport, Lovers Retreat, and Ironhammer.
Head Cleric
The Head Cleric was in charge of the administration of the Clerical Infirmary. They were on hand when a serious case came in, especially when it involved the 'Decaying of Bones'. The Head Cleric deployed Healing Clerics throughout Astnyr on their authority to perform healing when necessary. The Clerics assisted in the first invasion of Magick Glades with their holy healing prowess. Head Clerics also reported to Beight, and at some point, Nave, when a problem they couldn't solve alone arose.
Healing Clerics
Healing Clerics controlled holy magic. They had robes empowered by holy magic from the Light Paladins. This enchantment protected many Healing Clerics from the many diseases and other afflictions they encountered daily. This was except for death magic, for none were protected from Morana's newer afflictions.
The trainers instructed Healing Clerics to use their best abilities in healing the citizens of Astnyr. Beight's holy power was mighty within each Cleric, but there was still a requirement for other training. The two training procedures the Healing Clerics had to endure were weapons training and holy magic healing.
All Clerics should learn how to wield a dagger properly, as it was their major offensive and ritual tool. They learned how to pierce their enemies with said daggers, and how to administrate the salt barriers around patients and sick beds. They used fake salt, with the training daggers not having any holy powers. Holy magic healing comprised their faith to the goddess Beight. If their faith was lacking, the trainee would not become a Healing Cleric. The goddess tested this herself when she traveled to Craftport. She taught the students the fundamentals of healing magic, along with its required potency.
