Throughout Elaris, the Tempest Domain unveils its majestic realm of storms, seas, and skies, presided over by an array of formidable deities. These divine figures govern the very elements that shape the world, commanding the awesome might of lightning, thunder, earthquakes, and the unyielding forces of nature. In their diverse manifestations, they are patrons of both the awe-inspiring and the fearsome aspects of the world.
These deities hold sway over the ferocity of storms and the boundless expanse of the seas. Some reign as gods of lightning and thunder, their dominion reaching across the heavens as they conjure the dazzling brilliance of lightning and the earth-shaking resonance of thunder. Others command the very quakes that reshape the land, embodying both the destructive power and the creative potential of the earth’s upheaval. Among their ranks stand certain fire gods, enkindlers of the flames that rage and dance with an intensity born of raw passion.
In some pantheons, a god of the Tempest Domain assumes the mantle of supreme authority, ruling over the divine hierarchy with swift justice delivered in the form of thunderbolts. Their mere presence is an embodiment of their dominion, and their divine wrath can shatter the heavens themselves. These deities are heralds of divine retribution, delivering justice to those who stray from the path of righteousness.
In the pantheons of seafaring cultures, the gods of the Tempest Domain reign as ocean deities and patrons of sailors. The vast, unpredictable seas and the stormy skies above are the realms where these deities wield their tremendous power. Sailors look to these gods for protection and guidance, seeking their favor to ensure safe journeys upon the tumultuous waves.
Clerics who align themselves with the Tempest Domain hold a unique role as both envoys of fear and messengers of divine grace. They inspire awe and trepidation in the common folk, using this emotional spectrum to guide their followers along the path of righteousness or to motivate them to offer propitiatory sacrifices. These clerics stand as intermediaries between the uncontrollable forces of nature and the hearts of mortals, channeling their deities’ intentions and using their divine gifts to both instill reverence and bestow blessings.
