Aberrant Bloodline

Within your veins courses an otherworldly essence, an enigmatic force that taints your very being, granting you access to the esoteric realm of psionic power. Whether your ancestors intermingled with aberrations, you were touched by an eldritch intelligence, or your very soul was reshaped by forces beyond mortal comprehension, your magic is unnatural, twisting reality itself. Your mind expands beyond the limits of mortal thought, awakening psionic potential that bends the laws of the physical world.   As your power grows, your body and mind shift toward something other, an anomaly in existence that defies logic. Your mere presence distorts perception, your thoughts ripple through the air like unseen waves, and your mind touches upon the unknowable depths of the multiverse.

Bloodline Spells

1st-Level Sorcerer (Aberrant Bloodline) Feature   Your magical bloodline has infused you with the ability to cast certain spells. At 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level, you gain access to bloodline spells connected to your particular bloodline.   Once you gain access to a bloodline spell, you always have access to it, it can't be changed to a different spell when you gain a level, and it doesn't count against your number of spells known. If you gain access to a spell that doesn't appear on the sorcerer spell list, the spell is nonetheless a sorcerer spell for you. A listed spell is of a base level equal to your highest level sorcerer spell slot at a given level, even if it is of a different level for other classes.

Aberrant Mind

1st-Level Sorcerer (Aberrant Bloodline) Feature   Your mind is fundamentally alien, allowing you to communicate and influence others in strange ways. You gain telepathy with a range of 30 feet, allowing you to communicate mentally with any creature that understands at least one language.   Additionally, when you cast a spell that requires Verbal components, you may instead cast it with pure mental effort, making it silent to all but those you choose.

Psionic Aberration

6th-Level Sorcerer (Aberrant Bloodline) Feature   Your physical form warps, adapting to your unnatural power. You gain one of the following mutations of your choice:
  • Warped Skin: You gain resistance to psychic damage, and creatures have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks to see you while you are in dim light or darkness.
  • Aberrant Appendages: You can manifest vestigial tentacles, extra fingers, or an additional eye. You gain a climbing speed equal to your walking speed, and you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on an enemy's attack within 5 feet.
  • Mental Unraveling: Your psionic presence frays the minds of others. When a creature fails a saving throw against one of your enchantment or illusion spells, it takes psychic damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
  • Once chosen, this mutation is permanent.

    Unbound Mind

14th-Level Sorcerer (Aberrant Bloodline) Feature   Your thoughts exist in multiple places at once, untethered from the limitations of the body. You gain the following benefits:
  • Your telepathy range increases to 120 feet.
  • You can see into the Ethereal Plane out to 30 feet.
  • When you take damage, you can use your reaction to teleport up to 30 feet away to an unoccupied space you can see.
  • You can use this teleportation reaction a number of times equal to your Sorcerer Power Reservoir, regaining all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

    Ascendant Aberration

18th-Level Sorcerer (Aberrant Bloodline) Feature   Your body and mind fully transcend mortal constraints, becoming a living conduit of psionic energy. You gain the following traits:
  • You can cast Detect Thoughts and Telekinesis at will, without expending a spell slot.
  • Your creature type is considered both Aberration and your original type for spells and abilities. Use whichever type allows you to be targeted by an effect, or whichever is worse for effects that affect both types.
  • You gain resistance to psychic and force damage, and you are immune to the Charmed and Frightened conditions.
  • When you cast an enchantment or illusion spell of 1st level or higher, you can choose to target one additional creature within range.
  • Your form is now a glimpse of something beyond comprehension, a being of strange and shifting nature—neither bound by time nor space, but existing somewhere in between.
