Pāpaka

the Deepclaw

Legends from ancient seaborne cultures claim that an ordinary crab achieved apotheosis after feasting upon the divine corpse of a slain god. Little more is known about the entity, as it does not directly speak to any followers. His desires and interests are a mystery, even to his followers. What is certain is that Pāpaka will grant power to those who worship him and catastrophes happen less to oceanic communities that regularly venerate him, so he is a popular underwater god. His followers on land are typically coastal, praying to him for safety.
