Numina

Warden of the Kirishi

Numina is the protector and guardian of the Kirishien people. A black panther that at a glance could be mistaken for any other, but the observant would quickly notice the unusual green eyes told to be glowing with the power of creation itself. Unlike many other gods, the Kirishi believes that Numina is ever present on the material plane.

Body Features

A large panther with black fur and glowing green eyes, her claws are razor sharp with a metallic glint to them as they are made from a metal that no living person has yet been able to identify. Another unusual trait she has is that she is only little larger than others of her race, which makes it not uncommon for people to believe she is an ordinary panther until the moment she turns to look at them.

Personal history

There are many belief about Numina's past, who she was before the day she met Vimya and why she became the protector of the Kirishi. The most common belief is that she was hunted by the same dark fey that came for Vimya, that her own siblings and children had been taken from her before when she was weak after her own birth and unable to protect them. When she got the scent of vimya and of the dark fey, she knew what was happening. The events from her past triggered something within her and as he ran to protect Vimya, something happened to her. It was in those moments that she ascended to become the goddess she is known as today. Despite becoming a deity through these events, she never took a realm of her own, rather she stayed on the material plane in her now immortal body, wandering Elandar and the Kirishien territory to protect her believers from those who wishes to harm them and hunts any dark fey that should be brave enough to try to get close.

Morality & Philosophy

for Numina, one of the most important aspects is her devotion towards protecting children. Her belief is in the protection of others, but that an enemy should be shown no mercy if they go after someone who is unable to protect themself.
In a twist of this belief it is also that Numina knows all too well the importance of waiting for the right moment to strike and believes that one should never subject themself to more danger than is required unless it is for the protection of their kin. Even if the right moment is waiting for the enemy to be unarmed and unable to protect themselves in the moment, as long as they would ordinarily have a chance and have shown themselves willing to harm those who possess no threat to anyone.
