Igmasma Comet

History

First recorded sighting of the Igmasma Comet was discovered in a partially damaged journal found in the ruined empty grave of a man named Itheus found deep in the forest north of Kymenos by college researchers. Dated the fall of 137, Itheus describes the following.

I have lived here for 20 years, I thought I had seen all the beauty to be offered in this wondrous forest. I awoke last night to find blue light flooding our room, Halie still asleep under cover. Deary with sleep I thought it must trickery, but going to the window I was in awe of the sight. The sky was filled with a blue light coming from a fire hanging from the sky by a whitish sting trailing at a tilt above it. I walked outside. I couldn't look away. I watched for hours as its light was over taken by the rising sun. Even as my wife awoke she could see it faintly in the daylight. During the day I am distracted, at night I try to sleep only to find myself back outside watching its streak make its way across the sky. I dismissed my wife concern's, everything with be fine when it passes. It has been 4 days and its reached the edge of the skyline above the nearby mountains. It seems to burn brighter there. I feel compelled to follow it.

Though the townsfolk in the closest village were either ignorant or tight-lipped, their sheriff was convinced to give access to stored records reported his wife declaring him missing in the night, a search party not given for the forest he went into was once apart of the later named Viridis Pyle.
