There are many evil curses you should fear, but never anger a swamp-hermit! They will curse you with the unquiet sleep and within a few nights you will be begging for death - if you will even still be able to put the words together.
The Unquiet Sleep is a simple but terribly effective curse that makes it impossible for the target to rest and sleep. Even when absoluetly tired, they will only doze off a few minutes, before being woken by horrible nightmares and scares. A victim of the unquiet sleep often wakes up with blood running from there eyes. This curse is especially common in the region of the
Fenorijten Swamp.
Application of the curse requires a few alchemical ingredients as well as a strand of hair of the victim. When applied to a small wicker doll, it will affect the victim within a few hours. The curse usually only lasts seven to ten days, but it is often enough to mentally destroy a person. Additionally, it is very easy to reapply the curse.
Destroying the wicker will cause the curse to diminish more quickly. A skilled magician can also counter the effect with a powerful sleeping spell.
