The Kinematic Railway Carriage is a form of transportation used to get the large amounts of produces and food from the area of
Copperwynn towards the main capital of
Bealuki.
Basic Construction
The Carriages are large wooden boxes, additionally reinforced with metal plates. With three axes and two wheels each, it fits into a railway which is built between the towns of
Bealuki and
Gunnardstetten, with a station in
West Copperwynn Outpost.
Carriages used only for cargo transport are typically closed and windowless. A compartment on the roof allows for the placement of
Kinegem, which is lowering the inert mass of the carriage as well as
Aquamalith, which can be used to deploy a cooling spell on the cargo.
The Carriages can be linked into a chain, but it is advised to not link more then five carriages together, due to the starin on the links.
There have been some experiments to offer transport for people, but so far it has not encountered much interest. The travel is too slow, less comfortable as a carriage and the prices are too steep.
Propulsion
As the carriage is meant to transport cargo through
Copperwynn, an area with a steady magical drain, the use of the current magically based engines is not feasible.
For this reason, the carriages are drawn by either animals or by groups of people. Roads and outposts are constructed next to the railway to accomodate these workers and offer a quick exchange with fresh personell to ensure faster deliveries.
