The Ahknan Coalition

Territories

The lands of the Ahknan tribes are varied and mostly ancestral. Each of the seven major tribes tend to occupy a different space of land.

The people of Mojoc have lived mostly in the southwestern, lush desert scrubs and hilly lands. They technically have extended their reach to flank the Hatchani desert lands, however no clear borders are defined. The people of Hatchana themselves occupy the drier part of the desert, mostly because the doubly large Mojocki tribe refuses to allow them to expand to the more fruitful lands of the west. North of both of them, Casca resides in hilly plains, with the border between their lands and Mojocki lands greatly blurred.

Military

The Ahknan military is a meticulously organized order controlled by the fanrak, the second-most powerful person in the nation. It contains people of all the tribes in its forces, and, even though there is no draft, highly encourages all who are able to participate. It does not discriminate between gender, tribe, or social class, as it recognizes that it needs as much manpower as it can get.

Religion

Religion is not something that is common in Ahkna. Each tribal nation contains its own beliefs, and so the governmental endorsement of any gods is strictly prohibited. Religion is left up to each state to decide for itself, and typically they revolve around ancestral worship (as exhibited in the Ausketani people) or worship of the earth itself (as practiced by the Casca nation).

Education

There are only a couple of official 'schools' in Ahkna, and they specialize in different things. In addition to any important skills that are taught to children of different tribes, the city of Diham in Mojoc offers a vaguely structured school that discusses legal and national issues. Sometimes, members of the government will sit in on meetings of students in order to get new perspectives on important matters.

In Casca, certain people of that nation can be trained in the art of Cascan healing, which is the most developed and specific system of magic known in Ahkna, and is used on soldiers so much so that Cascan healers will often be called to battle stations to assist. However, it also encompasses a school of thought that focuses on learning how magic works, and how it flows through everything on the planet. In order to learn Cascan healing, one must be taught by a Cascan healer.

On average, most people across the tribes learn traditional skills such as cooking, hunting, agriculture, weaving, etc. Skills such as these are considered to be basic and essential for life, and so people of all powerful stations are inclined to learn them, including those in the ruling body of government.

Currency
The nations and tribes united within Ahkna are so scattered and hold such different values that the unified nations cannot decide on a continental currency. The nation of Mojoc has tried to implement a currency system, however forgery is a large problem, and there simply isn't enough material to keep the value of individual pieces high.
Major Exports
The coalition doesn't export many things to other countries due to their lack of currency, and therefore lack of monetary worth to other nations. Trade within the coalition, however, is frequent and based on need. Traders give what they feel they can offer in exchange for goods or services. Set prices are uncommon and not legally enforced.
