Saender

Saender is a large city located in Thessélias, south of the forest of Ilithorum. Saender is known for Halistaff Falls and the homes which are built alongside them. It is the birthplace of Tinuall Nerenia, current queen of Thessélias. Her father, Elleric Yeldrin, is lord of Saender as of EL 715. Elleric's wife is Haeta Yeldrin; their son, Eymin, born EL 846, is next in line for lordship of Saender.

Architecture

The smallest wooden huts have thatched roofs, but most buildings in Saender have a distinctive style of slate roofing.

Geography

Saender is built against the backdrop of Halistaff Falls and parts of it are built on a stone bridge that extend over one of its tiers.

Natural Resources

Saender is a very prosperous city, resting on a silver mine and on the edge of the forest of Ilithorum. Jewelers, craftsmen, silversmiths, woodsmen, and hunters are all common and do well. The only significant drawback of Saender's location is the limited amount of fertile soil, though there are a few farmers in the southwest portion of town.
