The Everlasting Grassland

The dominant religious teachings of the Si'vali people, collected through oral tradition by Tel'randese Ikko and passed out through sermon and pilgrimage to the four corners of the Si'vali badlands.

Summary

The core of the Si'vali belief structure is that people are held accountable by their ancestors in real time, as their ancestors inhabit a spiritual realm alongside the real world known as the Everlasting Grassland. Overexploitation of natural resources and environmental negligence are among cardinal sins in the Si'vali faith, although adherence to this doctrine has waned considerably since most of the warrior monks died over the centuries of war.

Historical Basis

The Ongoro warrior monks trained in remote ancestral villages scattered throughout the Si'vali landscape are the primary practitioners as well as the historical precedence for justifying their beliefs. At the peak of their training, a warrior monk can call forth powerful magicks gifted to them by ancient relics passed down by their ancestors.   These abilities were put to use extensively in the many skirmishes and open conflicts during the Mariposa Campaign, where they saw to the destruction of the Roland port city of Beruse as well as the death of Lord Admiral Edward Crowley.

Spread

The Si'vali myth structure is commonly adopted throughout the Si'vali territory, however it is often considered mythology as opposed to fact unless the region hosts an Ongoro enclave to keep the faith alive.
