Final Magic

It is said that in an ikko's final moments, should they live a life true and honest, that their soul will scream out with a final burst of magical energy. The resulting explosion, unique to the soul of the ikko monk, is known as their Final Magic. This legend dates back to before the Thousand Year War, and is said to be as close a mortal creature can come to casting true magic.
