Ákos
Ákos's grin is a gruesome thing, his skin tearing open from ear to ear to reveal the muscle and bone underneath. You recoil in horror, as the weight of what you have done begins to sink onto your chest like a millstone.
"I'm sorry!" you blurt out, hoping the Demon of the Crossroads will understand. "We didn't know -- didn't think -- never meant to disturb you -- "
Ákos takes the good luck charm from your neck. "Didn't think I was real? Most don't." As he speaks, you think you can see multiple rows of teeth in his mouth. "That's quite alright. Perhaps we can get along, come to some kind of mutually beneficial agreement."
You freeze in terror. The demon's finger brushes your collarbone as he takes your charm, and you feel his skin is ice-cold. "An agreement?"
Ákos claps agreeably. "Of course! My trade, my bread and butter. You humans ask for the impossible, and I grant it. Now, what kind of deal shall we make, you and I?"
