Scope
The motivation behind building Eien
I am building this world for source material for a wide range of uses. This is a world I first imagine as a child, and I want to build it right.
The goal of the project
I intend to write books and host a forum RPG from this setting.
Eien's Unique Selling point
Fallen empires that the rest of the world desperately wants to erase while survivors struggle to find a new place for themselves. A too-crowded space where issues run deep and overcoming challenges requires out of the box thinking and dedication to change.

Grimdark Fantasy Romance with an Age of Exploration/Industrialization feel to it fueled by magic and war.

The tone is somewhere in the middle, skewing towards dark. How difficult it is to live in depends on which country/geopolitical group/race an individual belongs.

Kejas is rumored to have unlocked ancient knowledge of near unstoppable military technology and tactics.
Larane and allies who rely on the magic of Mara of Oaths are now without her protection. Rumors are flying and their is rumbling among the human purists that the stranglehold of the Sword Clan on the Laranian monarchy is finally ending.
Reconstructed Sovathi warships are once again patrolling the seas, searching for lost technology. Rumors abound of them coming into conflict with the Laranian navy and Kejasian airships.
Fanatics of the Alfather have spread to every corner of the globe, and what was once disconnected messaging and hysteria has become something far more sinister. Devotees appear to be united in their goal to subvert world order and style a new one in their Awakened image.
Risyverio's private aeronautical companies are expanding their network of luxury airships to more ports of call and competition is fierce around the Sea of Mourning to attract them. Threats of war do not appear to be impeding their business.
Ancient Sovathi mines are being reopened and there is a buzz in the crafting circles that someone has figured out how to refine Sovathi ore once more. No one has seen a finished piece, however.
