Features of the Planet

Eidmaharia: World of Dreams 81-Bruma 495
Eidmaharia has two suns, respectivly called the Sun and Farawaystar. There are four moons:   Broken Moon
Sunset Moon
and two others yet to be named by the author.   While the exact year varies among nations, the year is divided in to four 90-day seasons. Seasons are on a ninety day cycle with the "civilized world" recognizing four months or cycles of the moons which aproximatly match the seasons.
  • Bruma - Fall
  • Gerar - Winter
  • Prier - Spring
  • Ciresar - Summer
The most advanced countries are in the southern hemisphere and that is where this calendar applies for the most part, though it is followed by the Isle of Frost in the northern hemisphere. The ice caps are small and ocean levels high.   A typical date would read 81 First Gerar, 495 HR or 81 Third Gerar, 495 HR, with the third referring to the section of the season. The last letters reflect the reckoning of the year. HR refers to Hemalian Reckoning. The year reflects how long ago a country was founded.   The Aiho do not use seasons or years but rather ages by the Manali. Starting with the death of the Manali, the Aiho begin counting the days until the next Manali. When a new Manali appears, the count stops, and the next 16 years are not counted. So, every age of Manali is the days counted plus 16 sun cycles.

Localization

Countries in Eidmaharia range from small city-states to global empires. On the western continent two empires control most of the territory, Risidia and Bentaurus. The eastern continent has less available technology but is steeped in more magical wilderness, with the largest country being Hemalia. On Eidmaharia, most governments are monarchies, with a few democratic societies. There are more than are listed here but here are the ones I've given a background on so far.
