Crossroads Inn

The Crossroads Inn lies a short distance outside the walls of the town of Newhome at the meeting of the Newhome Road, Ferry Road, and Gate Street. The inn is a popular place to stay for merchants and wagon drivers since the inn provides a variety of services catering to travelers. There's a blacksmith, cartwright, and large stables with ample grazing spaces. The inn also features a bath house, tap room, dining room, and collection of affordable rooms.   Founded nearly 20 years ago by Calrin and Alssa Hunt, the Crossroads Inn is one of the older establishments in the area. It is also one of the most affordable places to dine out.

Food

Specializing in simple and wholesome fare, the inn is a favorite amongst the woodsfolk that live in the farmlands outside the town. Here you will often find lightly spiced stews of wild game, foraged mushrooms, and wild greens as well as traditional Brahn dishes. Folks preferring more exotic meals will likely find the food at the inn somewhat bland. Portions are typically generous and prices are moderate to cheap.

Drinks

The inn mostly serves local beers and wines, but has a few foreign offerings seasonally as available. Prices are moderate.

Rooms

The rooms available at the inn are generally rented by the night and are furnished simply with hand-crafted furniture in the style of the woodsfolk of the Faewood. Rooms are clean, affordable, and somewhat smaller than the other inns of the area.

Proprietors

Calrin and Alssa Hunt formerly managed an inn in the seaside town of Safeport before coming to Newhome and building their own inn. They are simple, hard-working folk that come from a very modest background and they enjoy a strong relationship with the local community of farmers, woodcutters, and crafters. Many of their regular patrons consider them "family" and are loyally supportive of the inn and the Hunts. The Hunts live in a small flat over the bathhouse.

Main Building

The main building houses the tap room on the ground floor, dining room on the second floor, and rooms for rent on the third floor. The attic provides housing for servants and storage space.
