Void
Little is known about what lies beyond the void but it protected Eglorix from the many dangers of the planes and beyond. It was difficult to cross the void and required a great deal of arcane energy. Kentaz, Master of the Void was the keeper of the Void and maintained it, his charge by The Accords. The Void and its master were destroyed by Laedo, The Mad God of Magic's attempts to return from his banishment. The Void itself was shattered and fell to the surface of Eglorix taking on a unique quality. Any creature, man or beast, that touched a piece of the Void would absorb it. This provided the ability to bend events slightly to the will of the creature and the desire to acquire more of it. Also, creatures could sense it and would seek out more of it. The essence of Void is released from a creature that has absorbed it upon their death. Once released it can be re-absorbed by another. The more that has been absorbed the stronger the creature can bend events. The Followers of Kentax are actively gathering this power hoping enough can bring Kentax back, others gather it for its power.
