Haesan

Demographics

Haesan's population is almost entirely elven, with the exception of a handful of humans and dwarves who have taken up residence in Anhae for either political or business purposes.
Among the elven population, every ethnicity in the empire is represented. While the ruling class is still made up of Lainteran and Shaelani elves, the colony sports a higher percentage of cultural diversity than anywhere in the empire proper, as well as individuals who identify themselves with more than one elven nation.

Government

Haesan is a semi-autonomous province of the Empire of Laintera. While its official ruler is the Empress, its remote distance from the elven homeland necessitates proxies to act in her stead. The Empress has never personally set foot in Haesan.
Officially, Haesan is ruled over by a Regent, who is second only to the Empress herself. This position is supported by a small number of Ambassadors to the neighboring lands, and by the presence of several high ranking Generals in the Empire's army.

Industry & Trade

Most of the colony's industry is centered in its capitol, Anhae, which has become a main hub of trade between the Empire and the peoples of Egera.
