Egera

The world that lies beyond the walls of the isolated city of Haeje is a complete mystery to the trio of dissidents freshly exiled. It is a world know only to them as The Darklands - supposedly a place without order, without enlightenment, and without mercy. What they find instead is a wide world full of mystery and wonder, ready to be explored.   But the continent of Egera is no more a utopia of diversity and free thought than it is a pagan hellscape. The human city-states still vie for power, fighting amongst themselves as their people recover from a nation's fall. The ruins in the north remain largely forgotten, save by the few dwarves that remain in the mountains, cut off now from their own homeland.   Amidst their squabbles, the human lords ignore the seemingly benign elven colony to their south. Claiming itself a hub of trade, Haesan stands as it's empire's foothold in this land, a gilded display of wealth and glory may not sit idle long.   And in those unexplored and abandoned parts of the world old magic is growing.
