Brogûl Dwarfbreaker
History
Brogûl Dwarfbreaker was an orcish warlord who fought in the Greenskin War, primarily against the dwarves. As ruler of the Dwarfbreaker tribe, Brogûl had a special hatred for dwarves. They were, however, to be his undoing. Brogûl was slain in combat by a powerful dwarven warrior. Though, this was not to be the end for Brogûl.
Brogûl awoke many years later inside of an orcish shortsword. It is unknown how his soul made its way into the blade, but he believes that the gods have given him another chance to spill dwarven blood. He was eventually wielded by the revenant Al-Mirajj who sought to slay a duergar slavemaster with the sword. Brogûl and Al-Mirajj happened upon an ally in their quest; Metal Ox. In return for the sword, Metal Ox joined them on their quest for vengeance. Eventually, the slaver was killed and the revenant put to rest. Metal Ox and Brogûl would become inseparable in their insatiable hunger for the blood of dwarves. Together, they killed many dwarves and, to their mutual surprise, Brogûl grew stronger with the more dwarves that lay dead by his blade. He became capable of lessen the effects of poisons on his wielder and, after slaking his thirst on the blood of duergar, he was also able to magically turn his wielder invisible as well as enlarge them. He also made his wielder less susceptible to illusions, charm effects, and paralysis. Metal Ox fed Brogûl the blood of a royal dwarf in order to awaken him to the location of his ancient crown and its magical gems. The crown itself was not particularly special, though the gems were magical and empowered the weapons of their wielder. Metal Ox and Brogûl hunted the gems down and had them embedded into Brogûl's crossguard. After the implantation of the diamond, emerald, and ruby, Brogûl was capable of manifesting flames, frost, and poison to devastate his foes with.
Currently, Brogûl is wielded by Metal Ox. To slake Brogûl's thirst, Metal Ox uses him to execute dwarven criminals in Khar-Garom.
