Low orbit habitates brought down to Surface, causing wide-spread destruction.

In an attempt to bring down several habitats that were in a decaying orbit, remnants of the Earth Federal Forces attempt a controlled destruction of the stations, with devastating results.

In 1028 CR, several habitats began to show signs of advanced orbital decay; with no parts from Earth and the inhabitants having to jury-rig or even cannibalize parts of the station, it was only a matter of time before the station itself would start to fall to pieces. The population on board, comprised of Earth Federal Forces citizens and soldiers, attempted to do a controlled demolition of the station in order to prevent it from causing damage to any of their cities on the planets surface.   This attempt, however, failed. Four of these stations ended up falling into an area known as the Sordid Plains, although mostly broken up by the time they entered the atmosphere, the chunks themselves were quite large and caused enough damage to the plains to turn it from being lush and green to a wasteland in a matter of hours.
