Vinculum

A process to attune the magical wavelength of a non-magician to Fragmentation Crystals, this will enable them to be used in Mag-tech Technology.

The Forge

The core components for a forge to work are:

• Focusing Lenses made from an Unbound Fragmentation Crystals
• Steer Rods and Rings
• Capture Rods and Rings
• Bond Chamber

In order to perform the process one needs the Forge, a subject and a Crystal.

General Forge Setup

Calculations

• The distances between rings must be the same.
• The four steer rings distance between each-other increases with a multiplier of 0.4 times the diameter of the main lens if the main lens is larger than 1 meter and the distance decreases with a multiplier of 0.5 if the main lens is smaller than 1 meter.
• The distance between the main focusing lens and the last steer ring must be exactly triple the diameter of the lens.
• The steer ring after the main lens must be 1/3 the diameter of the lens away from it, otherwise the focused Magic Field will lessen in intensity by 70% and Vinculum will not work.
• The three capture rings must fit evenly within 3/4 of the diameter of the main lens.
• All Rods, except the ones around the Bond Chamber are there to make adjustments depending on the surrounding magic field intensity, to focus it further or sparsen it. Their length need to cover the distance between rings if they are used in such a manner, otherwise if they are used for adjusting Magic Field they typically are around half a meter, but can be longer or shorter.
• The Bond Chamber is the chamber that holds the crystal that will be attuned, it is highly advisable to make it out of a magic resistant material so if anything would go wrong it can absorb some of the resulting explosion and dampen the damage caused.
• Surrounding the Bond Chamber are three sets of both Steer and Capture Rods. The steer rods are to redirect and keep the focused Magic Field in the Bond Chamber and two Capture Rods are to draw small amounts of additional Magic Field or let out excess Magic Field if need be to keep the process stable. The Capture Rod in the middle is to lead the Focused Magic Field into the Chamber. Rods can be activated and adjusted for function. It is possible to have more rods to multiply the strength of them.
• Steer rings must be half the diameter of the main lens, capture rings must be 1/10 of the diameter of the main lens.

Rods and Rings

They are all made up of the metal Katrosium. Rods can have an activation switch and regulator switch to adjust how they function. An Activator is a power signal that turn them off or on. A Regulator is Mag-Tech powered by Unbound Crystals that vibrate the rod that makes the metal contract and expand ever so slightly to change its properties.

Steer Rings

Lightly picks up Magic Field and leads it through, in sequence they can gather a lot of Magic Field.

Steer Rods

One end blocks Magic Field from going that way. So it directs the flow of the field. Useful to get the Forge started so the field flows into the lens.

Capture Rings

Concentrates Magic Field into a closed space. Cannot pick up and focus surrounding Magic Field to a noticeable effect, which is why the focusing lens is needed.

Capture Rods

Can have Magic Field flow both ways and can be regulated or controlled by a regulator switch.

Power

The Magic Field (explained in the Magic World that flows through the world anchors the Material World to the Magic World surges through the Crystals to charge capacitors.

Side/Secondary Effects

Failure to perform the process flawlessly results in a burst of magical energy being released and the crystal being destroyed.

Discovery

It was discovered by a wizard, Idius Wisetow, when he studied the Fragmentation Crystals and found they had a great link to the Magic World which he also had. He built a forge to focus the magical wave-length surging through the crystal to a focused space which can be manipulated.
