Phalar
Nestled at the foot of a weather-worn mountain range, Phalar rises from stone rather than soil. The land around it is barren, eroded, and wind-scoured, marked by shale flats, exposed roots of ancient mountains, and narrow streams that vanish beneath the rock. Life persists not through abundance, but through arcane refinement.
Demographics
The Hastain people reside in this city. Their society isolated from everyone else. Few others choose to live in such a place as Phalar.
Infrastructure
Heat is regulated by sigil-stones embedded in walls.
Light comes from slow-burning arcane lanterns.
Water is drawn from deep aquifers and purified magically.
Architecture
Phalar is built from pale stone, dark slate, and glassy crystal veins drawn from the mountains. Structures appear grown rather than built—angled buttresses, slanted towers, and arcane arches that redirect wind.
