Raweniio (rah-wen-noh)

The Divine Creator

Raweniio: The Elder God of Creation Nature, Peace, Animals, Druids, Mortals, Free Will and Healing.       Raweniio is an uncommon deity who is regarded as the All-father of mortals. Although not widely worshipped, Raweniio is highly revered by druids, shapeshifters, and various indigenous tribes such as the Mohirriem people, who hold Raweniio in high esteem for granting them the gift of life and for being the Divine Creator of the world. Known for his peaceful and humble nature, Raweniio is also recognized as a great healer. To become skilled healers themselves, druids and shamans study and train their minds to channel his healing energy. Raweniio's power is not limited to mortals, but also extends to all gods and goddesses, who are believed to have been given a portion of his power, granting them the ability to create and destroy, and the freedom to choose their own destiny. Raweniio considers all living creatures to be his creations, and views his gods and goddesses as his children.   The Birth of Existence In the beginning, there was only the Void—an endless expanse of silence and shadow. From this nothingness emerged Raweniio, a being of light and thought who awakened to the emptiness and yearned to bring forth beauty and purpose. With a single breath, he spoke the First Word, and from it, light spilled into the void, forming the stars and shaping the bones of the world.   Raweniio sculpted the land and seas with his hands and infused the earth with his essence, creating plants, rivers, and mountains. He then called forth the spirits of life, forming the first beasts and mortals. Legends say his voice wove the threads of reality, and his heartbeat set the rhythm of time itself.   The Creation of Gods and Mortals Raweniio did not wish to rule alone, so he split fragments of his power and cast them into the heavens, giving rise to the gods and goddesses. Each deity bore an aspect of his essence—life, death, growth, and decay—reflecting the balance Raweniio desired. He granted them free will, allowing them to shape and guide the world as they saw fit.   Yet Raweniio also gave rise to mortals, fragile yet resilient beings, as caretakers of his creation. Mortals were gifted with creativity and imperfection, traits Raweniio valued as sparks of potential. It is said that while the gods inherited his power, mortals inherited his dreams.   Guardian of Balance and Harmony Raweniio embodies peace and balance, teaching his followers to honor both life and death as part of the eternal cycle. He believes that growth often comes through struggle and that creation and destruction are intertwined. This belief shapes his role as a watcher rather than an enforcer, guiding his followers through signs, dreams, and natural omens rather than direct intervention.   His influence is strongest in places of untouched nature—forests, rivers, and sacred groves—where his presence can be felt as a calming force. These places are often tended by druids and shamans who see themselves as his stewards, working to preserve harmony and heal what has been broken.   The Great Healer Raweniio’s power is most often associated with healing and renewal. It is said his touch can mend broken bodies, cleanse corrupted lands, and revive dying forests. His tears are said to have formed the first rivers, bringing life to barren lands.   Druids, shamans, and healers devote themselves to channeling his energy, learning rituals and chants to draw upon his restorative gifts. These followers often wander the world, offering aid to the sick and wounded, believing that every act of healing honors Raweniio’s eternal work.   Legends and Myths   The Tears of Creation;   When Raweniio first shaped the world, he wept for its beauty. His tears fell to the earth, forming the first rivers and lakes. These waters are considered sacred, said to carry echoes of his power, and are often used in rituals for healing and purification.   The Dreaming Grove;   It is said that Raweniio once rested beneath the roots of an ancient tree, and as he slept, his dreams took form in the waking world. Flowers bloomed, animals emerged, and the stars aligned to guide lost souls. The grove where he slept is believed to still exist, hidden in the heart of the wilderness, guarded by spirits of nature.   The Sundering of Raweniio and Anamaqkuia;   Raweniio’s greatest trial came not from mortals, but from his own divine kin—his brother, Anamaqkuia, the Shadow of Decay and Chaos. Born from the darker fragments of Raweniio’s essence, Anamaqkuia embodied entropy, hunger, and unbridled destruction. While Raweniio sought to nurture and preserve, Anamaqkuia reveled in unraveling what was made, claiming it was necessary to clear the path for new creation.   Their conflict, known as the Sundering, tore the heavens and earth apart. Mountains crumbled, forests burned, and rivers ran dry as the brothers clashed. Raweniio grieved deeply, for he loved his brother and saw him as a necessary part of existence. Yet Anamaqkuia’s hunger grew uncontrollable, threatening to unmake all that had been created.   In the end, Raweniio was forced to imprison his brother in the Veil of Shadows, a realm between worlds. However, fragments of Anamaqkuia’s essence seeped into the mortal world, giving rise to corruption, plagues, and chaos. It is said Raweniio still mourns his brother’s fate, and some fear that Anamaqkuia may one day break free, reigniting the conflict.   The Hidden Wanderer;   Some believe that Raweniio still walks the earth in disguise, appearing as a humble wanderer who aids those in need and vanishes before his identity can be revealed. These stories often speak of strangers who heal the sick, mend broken tools, or guide lost travelers, leaving behind nothing but the scent of blooming flowers or the sound of distant streams.             +1 Wisdom, Proficient in Nature and Survival.   Cantrip: Spare the Dying
