Priests of Blight
The Priests of Blight were formed by a boy left destitute by his family's misfortunes. This boy grew up scrounging around to survive until he came across old tomes. These tomes would grant him unimaginable powers and he began to put them to use. This boy was Eilmund, and he began to style himself as the Putrid Lord. He gathered followers and taught them his ways. They grew in strength and number until they began to expand throughout Laurentia serving an unknown purpose. They were first officially discovered in the sewers of Clonabridge in the kingdom of Calanais, by a group of adventurers sent to find the city's missing rat catchers.
Structure
- Putrid Lord: Title given to the leaders of the Priests of Blight. The putrid lord is their de facto ruler whose word and will are without question.
- Blight Elder: Highly trained magic users, these individuals are the Putrid Lord's lieutenants. They are second to him in command and administer his will.
- Plague Deacon: Not as powerful as Blight Elders, the Plague Deacons are in charge of commanding certain groups of priests.
- Priest of Blight: Fully initiated members into the faction.
- Novice: Members of the Priests of Blight who aren't full fledged members. They must go through certain training and complete menial tasks to be inducted.
Public Agenda
The Priests of Blight serve an unknown purpose. Their Putrid Lord communes with unknown dark gods and entities for more knowledge and power. They have the utmost confidence in their leader, who serves a master that is a mystery to them. All they know, is that they're to carry out a plan greater than themselves.

Divine Origins
When Eilmund lived in the streets and sewers of numerous towns throughout Berwick, he came across peculiar abandoned spell tomes. When he wasn't looking over his shoulder, Eilmund would study these tomes and some distant voice began to call to him. He began to commune with strange entities that granted him an assortment of dark powers. As Eilmund secretly gathered more followers, that distant voice which had always called out to him became even stronger. The Putrid Lord took his servants in search of what had called to him his whole life.
