Dalraddia
Dalraddia lies east of the Blue Mountains. Geographically, plains make up a large part of the kingdom, which in turn has led Dalraddia to field some of the best cavalry on the Laurentian continent. The Kingdom of Dalraddia has no quarrels or feuds with the dwarves of the Blue Mountains, or any of its human neighbors to the south and west. But to the north lies the Kingdom of Rheged. Dalraddia and Rheged used to be one. But due to cultural differences the two kingdoms erupted in war and split. There is an uneasy peace with many settlements and people in the northern and eastern part of Dalraddia being culturally, and ethnically Rheged. There is unrest in these parts and many believe that war is soon on the horizon.
Structure
- King: Hereditary ruler of Dalraddia
- Mayor of the Palace: These individuals are often known as the "power behind the throne." They keep the king's household in order, serve as the king's advisors, and has a huge say in decisions that influence the kingdom. They also serve as regents when a king is too young to rule.
- Lords: High ranking noblemen who are granted lands to rule over for the king.
- Counts/Countess: Minor noblemen who serve under lords. They preside over regions of land known as counties.
Public Agenda
Dalraddia's history has been divisive and tumultuous. Numerous kingdoms rose, fell, and absorbed one another until finally Dalraddia stood triumphant. That was until Rheged seceded. Dalraddia has never been one to seek out conflict. They aim to preserve amiable relations with their neighbors, and don't like to meddle in affairs outside the kingdom. The kingdom does it's best to resort to war as it's last and only option. As of now, tensions brew in the north with Rheged, and it is Dalraddia's hope to keep the peace.
Demography and Population
Much of Dalraddia's population lives throughout rural areas. Most of the land is wide open plains with scarce woodlands dotted here and there. The largest forest in Dalraddia being the Eastern Woods. With these wide open plains many of Dalraddia's citizens live within large rural areas that are dedicated to farming. Some of the more developed cities and communities lay near the Blue Mountains along with the scattered forests and woodlands. Due in part to there being more natural resources. These cities house less of Dalraddia's population, but tend to be centers of government authority and power.
Territories
Dalraddia owns all land between the White and East River. As well as all of the land east of the Blue Mountains and to the Misty Sea.

Military
In terms of military might and strength, Dalraddia doesn't rank among the strongest of Laurentia. Due to much of its population being in the rural areas, Dalraddia cannot field armies for extended periods of time. As many of soldiers need to return home and tend to their crops and harvest. Dalraddia's military lacks in many fields, but makes up for it with its cavalry. Dalraddia boasts the most impressive cavalry force on the continent, and has credited many a victory to it.
- Infantry: 36,000
- Cavalry: 137,000
- Archers: 18,000
- Artillery: 5,000
- Warships: 200
- Naval Troops/Marines: 2,500
Religion
The people of Dalraddia adhere to the Laurentian Pantheon. All gods are observed and worshiped, but there are several deities that Dalraddians worship above all others and consider them to be the patron gods of Dalraddia. These gods are; The Daghda, Belenus, Brigantia, Dunatis, Lugh, and Silvanus. Being the head of the Laurentian Pantheon, the Daghda is widely worshiped throughout the continent. Being the god of weather and crops, this naturally makes him important to most Dalraddians since many of them are farmers. Farmers also favor Belenus to bring favorable sunlight, as well as Brigantia since she is also the goddess of livestock. Dalraddian merchants and travelers tend to favor Lugh the god of arts travel, and commerce; while those who live near the Blue Mountains hold the mountain god Dunatis in high reverence. Silvanus (Cernunnos to others) the god of nature and forests isn't as popular in Dalraddia, but more of his followers tend to be found near the Eastern Woods, and other woodland areas.

Agriculture & Industry
Given Dalraddia's vast plains, it has emerged as a major agricultural society. Many of its cities and towns are quite rural with many farming communities that also raise livestock. Husbandry is one of the leading professions in the kingdom, with the best in their craft being selected for noble and royal families. The more urbanized areas of Dalraddia are found near the sparse woodlands (like the capital city Dunadd), and Blue Mountains; which form Dalraddia's western border.
Education
Most members in Dalraddian society don't have much access to a learned education. Instead, many participate in apprenticeships relating to whatever jobs their parents and grandparents did. Those whose families were farmers become farmers. Those whos father's were blacksmiths become blacksmiths, and so on and so forth. Schools are typically found in the more urban areas and cities. A formal education is especially ready for anyone of noble or royal blood due to the amount of time they have as well as the funds.
